SUMMARY:Dramaturgy for Devices: Exploring Human-Robot Futures with SMEs
DESCRIPTION:Calling SME decision-makers in Horti- & Agriculture! On July 4th\, the Dramaturgy for Devices (D4D) consortium is hosting an interactive brainstorm session at RoboHouse and they are looking for more SME’s to join the conversation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat to expect in the morning program? Together with the consortium\, participating SMEs will discuss:🔹 Their experiences\, questions\, and challenges with workplace robotics🔹 How it works in practice and how employees experience the presence of robots🔹 Ideas for future scenario workshops on human-robot interaction at RoboHouse \n\n\n\nThe morning will then be concluded with a collective brainstorm and lunch. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMorning programme (Public) \n\n\n\n09:30 -10:00 Walk-in with Coffee and Tea10:00 -10:05 Welcome by Caspar Chorus – Dean of Industrial Design Engineering (TU Delft)10:05 -10:15. Opening by Maaike Bleeker – Principal Investigator of Dramaturgy for Devices (Utrecht University)10:15 -11:00 RoboHouse Keynote & Tour by Managing Director Ties van Bruinessen (RoboHouse)11:00 -12:00 Brainstorm* – Towards scenario-building workshops with RoboHouse innovationteam in the field of Agriculture12:00 -13:00 Lunch (with demos by graduate students of the HRI lab) \n\n\n\n*About the brainstormIn this one-hour session\, we facilitate conversations between SMEs (MKB in Dutch) and our consortium about their experiences\, questions\, challenges\, and expectations regarding the deployment of robots in the workplace – focusing on both practical applications and employees’ experiences. The goal is for the consortium to gain a deeper understanding of SMEs’ concerns around robot design and implementation\, and to explore how these concerns connect to the consortium’s own questions\, knowledge\, and areas of expertise. We will conclude the session by brainstorming ideas for what future scenario-building workshops at RoboHouse could look like. \n\n\n\nSIGN UP FOR FREE \n\n\n\nAfternoon programme (Consortium and guests) \n\n\n\n13:00 -14:00 Project update – Presentations about all WPs14:00 -14:15 Break14:15 -15:45 Speed-date carrousel (4 x ± 20 minutes) / Conversations between PhDs and Audience15:45 -16:30 Closing discussion and next steps16:30 -17:30 Drinks (with demos by graduate students of the HRI lab) \n\n\n\nDramaturgy for DevicesRobots are increasingly part of our daily lives. They help provide medical care\, care for our homes and gardens\, and support education and the workplace. They are increasingly able to perform simple tasks and convey messages\, but they also lack many skills needed for interaction and communication. Dramaturgy for Devices develops these skills in collaboration with theater and dance makers. \n\n\n\nIn the Dramaturgy for Devices project\, we focus on the social skills of robots supporting people in\, for example\, education\, healthcare\, and hospitality. \n\n\n\nSign up using the button to the right (desktop view).
