SUMMARY:HSD Café: Future of Operational Technology (OT) Security
DESCRIPTION:On 16 May from 15:30 to 18:30 Security Delta (HSD) will be organising an engaging HSD Café on the topic of the Future of Operational Technology (OT) Security:“As our digitising society is increasingly confronted with the consequences of cyber-attacks aimed at OT infrastructure\, awareness of these threats is growing among both our government and entrepreneurs. Attacks can lead to considerable economic damage and may even threaten our basic life necessities. Developing talent in this tight labour market raises questions on how we can continue to properly protect this infrastructure. The theme of our HSD Café therefore is the ‘Future of OT Security’.We have invited four professionals from this field\, who will be sharing their expertise on this topic from varying perspectives in an interactive and engaging format. After the presentations and exploration of the topic\, there will be plenty of room for networking and further discussion.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe first speaker is Turabi Yildirim. He started at the UWV as a security advisor in the IT domain and contributed a lot to the security of Suwinet in the position of Security Officer Suwinet. Moreover\, he was also one of the founders of the Suwinet Framework of Standards. He has now been working for Rijkswaterstaat in OT security for over 17 years. Now in the position of coordinator of the Security by Design process for OT applications.The second speaker is Riccardo Ferrari. He is an Associate Professor at the TU Delft Center for Systems and Control. His mission is making dynamical systems safe and resilient against faults\, malicious cyber-attacks\, and degradation phenomena\, fighting uncertainty while doing so. Applications ranges from wind energy to aerospace and electric and cooperative autonomous vehicles.The third speaker is Rosanne Aartman. She is one of Riccardo M.G. Ferrari’s students and is currently doing her final research at Batenburg Magion. During her presentation\, she will briefly present what she has been doing for her thesis.The final speaker is Stefan Barten. After studying Industrial Automation in Arnhem\, Stefan Barten has been working in industrial automation for over 25 years. He started as an engineer\, but for the last 10 years he has been working at MODELEC in an advisory role for resilient industrial network solutions for the vital sectors. Stefan is also intrinsically motivated to improve operational resilience through collaboration\, knowledge sharing and OT-native solutions for taking effective technical measures.Your welcome at the HSD Campus.
