Over de Haagse Hogeschool
The Hague University of Applied Sciences (THUAS), known in Dutch as De Haagse Hogeschool, is a prominent institution for higher professional education in the Netherlands. Established on January 12, 1987, through the merger of several institutions, it has grown to accommodate nearly 26,000 students from over 120 countries.
THUAS operates multiple campuses: the main campus in The Hague, and additional locations in Delft and Zoetermeer. The Delft campus, situated on the TU Delft campus, specializes in technical education, offering programs in engineering, construction, and IT.
The university offers a diverse range of programs, including 66 full-time bachelor’s degrees, covering fields such as Accountancy, Civil Engineering, and Social Work. Many programs are available in both Dutch and English, catering to a broad international student body.
As a UNESCO-associated institution since 2009, THUAS emphasizes international connectedness, tolerance, and solidarity. It actively engages in applied research through various research groups and centers of expertise, addressing societal challenges in areas like cybersecurity, health innovation, and sustainable development.
