At Promolding we developed in 2008-2010 the first ‘Full-polymer aircraft catering trolley’ which had tremendous benefits over the ‘old fashioned’ alu-trolleys. The most important topic was weight-saving for fuel-consumption savings but also the fact that it is no longer a ‘cage of Farraday’ contributed to digitizing the catering processing. After market introduction it also turned out to be the most theft-resistant trolley!
Another development we did was the over-moulding of a braiding out of continuous fibres. The main purpose was to realise ‘composite’ parts in high volumes.
